C2RPS-CHAS2 FOXBORO power supply

An RPS(redundant power supply system) consisting of the C2RPS‐CHAS2 chassis and the C2RPS‐PSM power supply is a simple and economical solution for providing backup power supplies for one or two SecureStack C2 Ethernet switch devices (one for each switch device).
The C2RPS‐PSM continuously monitors the power supply of the internal switchgear when connected to the switchgear. If a power interruption is detected, the C2RPS‐PSM automatically triggers the power supply to the switchgear, preventing interruption of network traffic. The end result is a more reliable network infrastructure that protects the network from a single source of failure in the power supply of network equipment. Depending on your system requirements, the C2RPS‐CHAS2 case can be included
The following components provide redundant power for one or two switch devices:
•
A C2RPS‐CHAS2 chassis
•
One or two C2RPS(one for each SecureStack switch)
•
One or two AC power cables (one for each C2RPS‐PSM)
•
One or two C2RPS‐PSM cables (one for each C2RPS‐PSM
RPS can be deployed in a variety of environments with mission-critical applications.
For example:
•
Used in voice and data networks where switches are connected to IP telephony personal computers. Connecting the RPS to the switch prevents voice network failures Switching power failures caused by the following reasons.
•
Traditional data used to carry mission-critical 10/100/1000 Ethernet switch data. An example RPS SecureStack C2 switch that provides redundant power backup for two devices is shown. SecureStack C2 switches encounter an internal power failure
When the power supply fails, the following conditions occur:
1.
The internal DC power supply of the switchgear is switched immediately
From internal DC power supply to RPS DC power input.
2.
If needed, the switching device saves this state information for future retrieval
