MVI56E-MCM Modbus Master/Slave Enhanced Network Interface Module

MVI56E-MCM is a Modbus master/slave enhanced network interface module designed for ControlLogix devices. The MVI56E-MCM supports master/slave connections between ControlLogix processors and Modbus RTU/ASCII devices. This module has a backward compatibility feature that allows it to be compatible with older MVI56 modules. This allows direct module replacement without changing the existing controller program. The MVI56E-MCM has a 10,000-word database that allows more data to be collected from other devices, thus improving operational performance. This feature of the MVI56E-MCM module also allows users to take full advantage of the enhanced functionality and flexibility without incurring expensive reprogramming costs. The MVI56E-MCM module enables Modbus data to appear in the processor as I/O data by acting as an input/output module on the ControlLogix backplane. It also has a cross detection function.
