On July 19, the world’s first 16MW high-power wind turbine jointly developed by Goldwind Technology and Three Gorges Group was successfully connected to the grid in Fujian offshore wind farm. The unit is the largest single capacity, the largest impeller diameter, and the lightest weight per unit megawatt of offshore wind power units that have been put into production worldwide, and won the list of “Top ten major countries in 2022” on the SASAC website, marking a new level of research and development, manufacturing and operation capability of China’s offshore wind power large-capacity units, reaching the international leading level. the annual power generation exceeds 66 million KWH, which can meet the domestic electricity consumption of 36,000 households of three people for a year.

In order to meet the needs of “large-scale” and “far-reaching sea” of offshore wind turbines, Huichuan Technology released PD802 PLUS high-power variable pitch drive in October 2021, and obtained the first functional safety certification of wind power variable pitch drive in China in May 2022, which is the highest level of functional safety international certification of wind power variable pitch system. It marks that the safety level of the variable pitch system equipped with Huichuan technology PD802 PLUS wind power variable pitch drive can reach SIL3, PLe level, filling the product gap of domestic brands in the field of high power drive. In July 2022, the PD802 PLUS wind power variable pitch drivers began to be used in batches for several offshore wind turbine models.
PD802 PLUS variable pitch driver rated output current 80A, overload current 300A/3S, C5M anti-corrosion grade design, not only can meet the extreme load working scene under wind conditions, but also adapt to the strong corrosive working environment at sea. The PD802 PLUS variable pitch driver standard bus communication interface is suitable for dual-drive solutions, which can meet the application requirements of 6MW to 20MW units.

Jinfeng 16MW unit adopts the multi-transmission drive scheme of Huichuan MD810 intelligent yaw inverter with common DC bus. The program has the following features:
