8D digital twin concept
While companies have embraced the convergence of information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) as part of their DX journey, the engineering technology element is often overlooked. In fact, when considering the entire life cycle of the
TIM Solution’s digital twin is available in the form of a Platform as a Service (PaaS). As a universal digital twin platform, IT can be applied to multiple fields, integrating and simulating IT/OT and engineering data from oil and gas, shipbuilding, aerospace, automotive and other industries to improve manufacturing processes. It is a dedicated digital platform that, when combined with Yokogawa’s asset management products such as OpreX Asset Health Insights (AHI), can provide customers with a single platform to access and leverage company-wide data. TIM Solution’s digital twin platform can also be placed on top of Yokogawa’s OT process digital twin offering to provide a more comprehensive view of asset data.
