Woodward has introduced a new industrial-grade digital control unit, the 9907-166, which belongs to the Model 505 and 505E microprocessor family and is designed for the precise control of steam turbines. This controller module has a number of advanced technologies and features to meet the high standards of industrial automation.
The 9907-166 control unit is equipped with a 32-bit microprocessor and is capable of controlling industrial-grade steam turbines as well as small units such as utility turbine generators or turbine expanders. It features a range of printed circuit boards mounted in an optional NEMA 4X grading frame and is designed to fit inside the system control panel for harsh industrial environments.
