IS420PFFAHIA is a component of General Electric’s Mark VIe Speedtronic control system. MKVIe is the last Speedtronic distributed control system sold by General Electric for controlling gas and steam turbine systems as well as nuclear, thermal and wind options. The DCS system builds on the previous Speedtronic system and offers flexible configuration in the form of single, double and triple redundancy, with factory-wide control, Ethernet connectivity, and high performance and reliability.

IS420PFFAHIA is the Energy base Fieldbus gateway in the Mark VIe system. It works with other modules and is enclosed in a cabinet, usually with fans and filters for proper ventilation. In many systems, multiple base fieldbus gateways are used, one module per cabinet. These are usually paired with fieldbus diagnostic modules.
