Siemens Energy’s Supervisory Board has appointed Karim Amin as a member of the Executive Committee, effective March 1, 2022.

Kareem Amin, 44, will replace Jochen Eickholt, 60. Jochen Ekholt is leaving Siemens Energy to become the new chief executive of Siemens Gamesa renewable Energy, in which Siemens Energy holds a 67 per cent majority stake. Kareem Amin is Global Executive Vice President of Siemens Energy, responsible for the company’s power generation Group. In the future, he will be responsible for the Power Generation Group and the Energy Industrial Applications Group on the Executive Committee and continue to directly lead the Power Generation Group business.

Karim has held a number of management positions and has extensive experience in service operations, sales and product management. He is currently responsible for the Siemens Energy Generation Group, the company’s largest business group, with about 26,000 employees. Karim studied at Cairo University with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and holds an MBA from Warwick Business School in the United Kingdom. Since the founding of Siemens Energy, Karim has been committed to continuously improving the performance of the power generation group.
