Strong flexibility to meet different installation requirements
Emax 2/E has wide area connectivity and can be fully integrated into the smart grid of buildings or industrial plants. The product is designed to be compact and reduce the busbar size and cross-sectional area compared to conventional solutions to form a compact switchgear with a higher current rating, thus reducing the size of the entire switchgear, thereby reducing the use of raw materials and reducing costs. The Emax 2/E series is available in four housing sizes, E1.2, E2.2, E4.2 and E6.2, which can effectively match the rated voltage requirements and easily meet different installation requirements.
Intelligent control with multiple functions
The Emax 2/E is an intelligent circuit breaker with all-in-one solution control that combines advanced protection, logic program editing, flexible communication and comprehensive power management functions. With dedicated software packages available in the ABB Ability Marketplace™, users can upgrade Emax 2/E circuit breakers throughout their life cycle with a variety of protection, measurement and other functions, making it easy to test, monitor, configure management, analyze data and view reports.
Green and low-carbon, support new energy applications
The new generation of Emax 2/E circuit breakers supports the development of new energy fields such as wind power and solar power through advanced technical performance. It can not only protect the electrical circuit, ensure the lasting and stable operation of the equipment, but also reduce energy consumption and reduce energy waste according to user needs, which is a big “weapon” to enable the green and low-carbon transformation of the industry. Emax 2/E circuit breakers have voltage applications up to 1380VAC (i.e. 1150V+20%) and single-pole short-circuit performance (IT system) of 800-900V to meet high voltage or high altitude application scenarios.
Yang Rong, vice president of ABB Electric China, said, “Under the dual-carbon goal, the construction of a new power system with new energy as the main body requires digital, intelligent and low-carbon new power equipment as support. Based on deep industry expertise and forward-looking digital technology, ABB continues to improve product performance, optimize business structure, and provide power distribution solutions that meet current market needs and future trends, while promoting its own sustainable development, helping customers and partners improve quality and efficiency, achieve low-carbon transition, and create a green future.”
