Siemens Digital Industrial Software has teamed up with Arm and AWS to deliver the PAVE360 digital twin solution in the AWS cloud service, leveraging cloud-based vehicle simulation to help accelerate innovation in the next generation of software-defined vehicles (SDVS)
Developers can now use the Arm technology included in PAVE360 on AWS to rapidly develop automotive systems
Siemens Digital Industrial software has further extended its partnership with Amazon Cloud Technologies (AWS) by launching the automotive digital twin solution based on Siemens PAVE360 in the AWS cloud service, bringing the “Software defined vehicle” (software defined vehicle) through the parallel development of software and hardware. SDV’s design process is “shifted left” to help developers compress design cycles, speed product to market, and accelerate the pace of innovation in the automotive industry. In addition, Siemens is deepening its partnership with Arm to help developers use Arm® technology running in the Siemens PAVE360 digital twin solution through AWS cloud services.
Instead of deploying software on premises, automakers can now use PAVE360 solutions, available in AWS cloud services, to develop software early in their IP selection and design process, and evaluate ARM-based critical systems and software components. Solutions executed in the cloud can provide developers with simulation speeds unmatched by traditional on-premises modeling and simulation infrastructure, enabling them to take full advantage of the “left shift” of processes to meet increasingly tight time-to-market requirements while addressing the technical and business challenges of the future.

Siemens’ PAVE360 deployment on AWS incorporates Arm IP, which is built for vehicle-specific workloads, functional system software, physical world simulation and algorithm development tools such as Siemens’ Simcenter™ Prescan, and hybrid fidelity EDA modeling and simulation engines. PAVE360 seamlessly integrates these resources, enabling vehicle simulation not only on the engineer’s desktop, but also in a more integrated and secure cloud environment, significantly reducing the cost and resource requirements of manufacturers, eliminating the need for expensive IT upgrades for high-speed simulation, and helping automotive engineers focus on meaningful improvements.
