Description
The AC 800F controller supports all major fieldbuses for process automation applications and supports redundant configurations. A single controller typically has a dot capacity of about 1000 I/O points.
The AC 800F controller has a modular structure. The CPU is designed as a backplane to connect different modules – power supply unit, Ethernet and fieldbus modules – according to different applications. The main supported bus protocols include:
PROFIBUS-DPV1
FOUNDATION Fieldbus HSE
MODBUS (Master/slave, RTU or ASCII)
IEC 60870-5-101, IEC 60870-5-104
CAN bus for Freelance rack-mounted I/O
The fieldbus and device connection can be configured and parameterized entirely through the Freelance engineer station software. No additional external software tools are required for the configuration process.
