The function of the pins is highly flexible, and some of them can be configured as analog or digital. Digital pins can be configured as input or output.
As the Arduino board receives inputs from sensors connected to these analog and digital inputs, they sense their surroundings. They can also control actuators, such as motors, alarms, and electric valves, or turn on leds, lights, or other visual indicating devices. The output has limited output drive capabilities, so transistors, FETS, or relays must usually be used between the Arduino output pin and the device being driven. However, there is an output that drives the LED directly.
The connectors on the board are arranged in a standard manner so that the shielding can be connected. Shielding is a module with dedicated functions (e.g., infrared output, Bluetooth, GSM, WIFI, Ethernet, motor on/off control using Relas, stepper motor control). Depending on the mask type, it may be possible to stack multiple masks together and then address them separately via the I2C serial bus.
