 motor control processor (MCP). Microcontroller (U21) with 80C196 processor with high-speed I/O, analog I/O, traditional digital I/O, timer/counter, and watchdog timer. Internal loops such as current regulators and motor/technology specific functions such as DC phase control, AC motion control and AC general purpose make up the MCP software.
 synergia processor (CMP). For motor control algorithms that are too complex for the MCP, the TMS320C25 digital Signal processor (U35) can perform mathematically intensive operations. SDCC uses the processor and its accompanying electronics only when the drive requires additional processing power. The only devices of the CMP interface are its dual-port RAM and EPROM.
 a total of five memory chips, with four factories programming EPROM configuration data (U11 U12 U22 and U23) and a block with the adjustable parameter EEPROM (U9), constitutes the DS200SDCC card onboard software. On SDCC, slots hold these memory chips.
