The basic idea of direct torque control is to accurately observe the size and position of the stator flux space, and then keep its amplitude basically unchanged and accurately calculate the load torque under the premise of controlling the instantaneous voltage input of the motor to control the instantaneous rotation speed of the stator flux, to change its instantaneous slip rate to the rotor, to achieve the purpose of directly controlling the output of the motor.
In direct torque control, the amplitude of the motor stator flux is maintained as the rated value by vector control of the above voltage. To change the torque size, it can be realized by controlling the Angle between the stator flux and the rotor flux. The Angle can be adjusted by the control of voltage space vector. Since the rotation speed of the rotor flux remains unchanged, the Angle can be adjusted by adjusting the instantaneous rotation speed of the stator flux.
