1747-KE Communication module

The 1747-KE is Rockwell’s Ethernet /IP communication module.
The module belongs to the 1756 family of ControlLogix communication modules, designed by Allen-Bradley to act as a bridge between two or more devices, such as controllers and I/O modules. The Ethernet /IP communication module operates using a network protocol that has become a standard for open industrial networking. The protocol supports real-time I/O message and data exchange.

The transmission principle of Ethernet is the CSMA/CD protocol, that is, carrier monitoring multiple access/collision detection.
In Ethernet, all nodes share the network transmission channel. Before sending data, nodes first detect whether the channel is idle. If the channel is idle, they send it; otherwise, they wait. After the message is sent, conflicts are detected. If conflicts are found, the message is cancelled.
