The Allen-Bradley 1756-OF6CI module is the ControlLogix family of universal isolated analog current/voltage output modules. This module has 6 independent isolated current outputs available. It also has 13-bit resolution in the 21 mah (2.7 amps) range. It requires a 1756-TBNH or 1756-TBSH detachable terminal board housing (RTB) before it can be installed into a grounded and mounted case.

The types of communication formats available along with the 1756-OF6CI module are integer and floating-point formats. The analog output module includes data echo, ramp/rate limit, clamp/limit, clamp/limit alarm, and initialization hold. This program features from 1756.

It has a range of 0 to 20 mah for low signal and user counts of 0 mah and -32,768, and for high signal and user counts of 21.074 mah and 32,767. The module has a current consumption of 250 mA at 5.1V and is terminated at OUTs and RTN from 0 to 550 ohms and OUTs and ALTs from 551 to 1000 ohms. At 24V, its current consumption is 225 mah (0 to 550 ohms, terminated at OUTs and RTN) and 300 mah (551 to 1000 ohms, terminated at OUTs and ALTs). Total backplane power is 6.7 watts for 0 to 550 ohms and 8.5 watts for 551 to 1000 ohms. The module has a maximum power consumption of 5.5 watts for loads from 0 to 550 ohms and 6.1 watts for loads from 551 to 1000 ohms. It has no open circuit detection, but has 24V DC overvoltage protection and short circuit protection limited to 21 mah or lower. The conventional test lasted for 2 seconds at 1350 volts AC, with a continuous isolation voltage of 250 volts.
