Allen-Bradley 2094-BM02-S is a multi-axis module that is a component product of the Kinetix 6000 multi-axis drive servo system. The module comes with an integrated Safety Torque Off (STO) safety feature for applications requiring Safety integrity Level (SIL) 3 and Performance level (PLe). The Ascus module is a single wide module with up to seven (7) of each 8-axis power rail supported.

The 2094-BM02-S supports a bandwidth speed loop frequency of 500 Hz, a current loop frequency of 1300 Hz, and a pulse width modulation (PWM) frequency of 4 kHz. The axis module has a nominal input voltage of 650VDC, a continuous current requirement (rms) of 10.3 amps, and a continuous current (sine) of 14.6 amps.

With peak enhancement, the Asex module can be used in applications requiring rapid acceleration and deceleration. The 2094-BM02-S has 150% of the standard peak inverter current rating, significantly increasing to 250% when peak intensifies.

The 2094-BM02-S has a continuous current (rms) of 10.3 amps and a continuous current (sine) of 14.6 amps for 98% efficiency and a symmetrical short-circuit current rating of 200,000 amps (rms). The Ascus module has a 115 ohm internal shunt resistor with a sustained internal shunt power of 50 watts and a peak power of 5.6 kilowatts.

Before installing the Allen-Bradley 2094-BM02-S multi-axis servo drive, leave gaps at the top and bottom of the drive to ensure proper airflow. This is important to ensure smooth operation and prevent overheating. The depth of the cabinet must be at least 10.7 inches. If the driver is installed in a cabinet, the cabinet should be high enough to fit the driver and allow it to have a ventilation mechanism from an external cooling system.
