Its modular design makes it easy to configure and install in the field, and users can also remotely control, configure, and access application data through an embedded Ethernet /IP port, an additional advantage over traditional drives.

The 25B-D010N104 is a three-phase 480-volt AC drive with an output current of 10.5 amps, which unlike some Powerflex 525 drives is rated at 5.0 HP. The drive is designed with built-in protection features such as automatic bus voltage regulation and fast-action current limiting, and it also features a safe torque shutdown feature common to all PowerFlex 525 drives, allowing faster response to applications in the event of a safety-related outage, as well as protecting internal components and personnel. The 25B-D010N104 design has enhanced power loss traverse time and a detachable metal oxide rheostat to provide ground fault protection when used in ungrounded conditions. The 25B-D010N104 is programmable for voltage per Hertz control, sensorless vector control, closed-loop velocity vector control and permanent magnet motor control.

It utilizes pulse-width-modulated signals in the 2 to 16 KHZ programmable carrier frequency range and provides optional output voltages from 0 to the rated motor voltage range. The 25B-D010N104 offers 2 programmable acceleration/deceleration times programmed in 0.1 second increments for up to 60 seconds, and it also offers normal load overload ratings for 60 second 110% output rating and 3 second 15% output rating. It has I/O 2 analog inputs, 7 digital inputs, 1 analog output, and 2 relay outputs for additional control.
