IS215UCVEH2AB models are labeled as standard Mark VI controllers and are designed as 6U high, single slot/double slot, single board computers typically used to operate turbine application code. The model is located in a VME rack with 21 or 13 slots. When located in the control module, it communicates with other turbine I/O boards via the VME bus. The typical operating system used by the motherboard is QNX. The QNX system is a multi-tasking, real-time operating system designed for high reliability and high-speed industrial applications.
An important note about the model IS215UCVEH2AB is that it is only one of three controllers used in Mark VI systems, and this model can replace other controllers, but usually requires an upgrade to the backplane. This model can replace the ICVB model, but in doing so, the Ethernet cable must be upgraded.
