Description
Bently Bentley 135613 High temperature housing expansion sensor applications
Bently Bentley 135613 High temperature casing expansion sensor is applied to the thermal
expansion measurement of large turbine casing. Thermal expansion
displacement measurement parameter of turbine monitoring instrument (TSI). Housing expansion
(sometimes called housing thermal expansion) refers to the thermal expansion of the housing during
machine start-up or during operation. The housing expansion sensor system is usually installed on the
basis of the fixed end of the turbine housing and provides information about the housing expansion relative
to the foundation.
Second, the working principle of Bently Bentley 135613 high temperature housing expansion sensor
The casing expansion sensor system uses LVDT to measure the thermal expansion of the casing.
The LVDT has a connecting rod connected to the machine. When the housing expands, the connecting
rod moves within the LVDT, causing the LVDT signal to change. The signal is conditioned to the monitor
for display and alarm reporting. Housing expansion should be measured using dual sensors side by side.
This measurement method can measure the position of the sliding foot of the housing, and when one foot
is obstructed or stuck, it will cause deformation of the housing and damage to the machine. Dual housing
expansion sensor systems are used with 3300 or 3500 monitors to provide alarm information for housing
measurements. The high temperature dual housing expansion sensor system is compatible only with 3500/45
displacement monitors.
