136188-02 3500/92 communication gateway module provides extensive communication capabilities, all rack monitoring for value and status integration with process control and other automation systems using Ethernet TCP/IP and serial (RS232/RS422/RS485) communication ability. It also allows Ethernet communication with the 3500 rack configuration software and data acquisition software. Supported protocols include:
l Modicon Modbus protocol (via serial communication)
l Modbus/TCP protocol (a variant of serial Modbus) suitable for TCP/IP Ethernet communication)
l Bently Nevada Protocol (used to configure and communicate with the 3500 rack data acquisition software package)

3500/92 supports the communication interface, communication protocol and other features of the original 3500/90, except the main value Modbus register. The 3500/92 now has a configurable Modbus register utility which provides the same functionality originally handled by the primary value Modbus register.
