The GE/Bly 3300 XL 5/8mm approximation sensor is compatible with all 5 and 8mm 3300 and 3300 XL probes. The 3300 XL proximity sensor

incorporates a number of improvements over previous designs. Its physical packaging allows you to use it in high-density DINrail installations.

You can also mount the sensor in a traditional panel mount configuration, where it shares the same 4-hole mount “footprint” as the older

Proximitor sensor design. The mounting base of either option provides electrical isolation without the need for a separate isolator plate.

The GE/Bentley Nevada 3300 XL 8mm eddy current sensor system consists of a 3300 XL 8mm probe, a 3300 XL extension cable, and a 3300 XL proximity sensor.

The output voltage provided by the system is proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface, and both static (position) and

dynamic (vibration) values can be measured. The main applications of the system are bearing machines for vibration and position measurement on liquid films, as

well as key phase reference and velocity measurement. The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5 meter system is also fully compliant with the mechanical configuration, linear

range, accuracy and temperature stability of the American Petroleum Institute (API) 670 standard (4th edition). All 3300 XL 8 mm eddy current sensor systems offer this level of performance and support full interchangeability of probes, extension cables and Proximitor sensors without the need to match or calibrate individual components.

Each 3300 XL 8 mm sensor system component is backward compatible and interchangeable with other non-XL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm sensor system components.

This compatibility includes 3300 5 mm probes for applications where 8 mm probes are too large for available mounting space.
