489-P5-HI-A20-T is a generator management relay that is manufactured by GE Multilin for the 489 series. This relay has 5 A phase CT secondaries. The HI control power is 90-300 VDC and 70265 VAC at 48-62 Hz. The analog outputs on this relay are 4 to 20 mA. This relay has an enhanced display with a larger LCD and Ethernet. There is 1 non-isolated front panel RS232 port and 2 RS485 ports isolated together at 36 Vpk. The RS485 baud rates are 300, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, and 19200. The RS232 baud rate is 9600. The protocol is Modbus RTU / half duplex, DNP 3.0. The dielectric strength is 1.9 kV AC for one second or 1.6 kV AC for one minute, per UL 508.
