The DS3800NFMC1F1E is a part of the Speedtronic Mark IV series which was designed to control turbines. This board was made by General Electric, or GE. The DS3800NFMC1F1E is what is known as a fault finder display circuit board. For several decades, Mark IV series systems have been used to operate turbines efficiently and safely.
Cover the left edge of the DS3800NFMC1F1E is a long connector port. On the right of the circuit board are nine (9) LEDs which glow red when they are lit. LEDs are also called light-emitting diodes. Fifteen (15) test points are located under the LEDs. Operators can ensure that the DS3800NFMC1F1C is working the way it is supposed to by using these test points. All around the DS3800NFMC1F1E are thirty-eight (38) integrated circuits. Tiny capacitors, diodes, and resistors are included on each integrated circuit. Nineteen (19) transistors are arranged on the left side of the DS3800NFMC1F1E. A range of other components is found in between these transistors. More capacitors and diodes are seen on the board as well as resistors which are banded in various colors. Two banded resistors and 2 banded capacitors are found next to a line of other banded resistors. The letters A to J are printed on the top edge of the DS3800NFMC1F1E. Numbers ten to eighty by tens are marked on the left side next to the connector port. Additional solid red resistors, banded resistors, and banded capacitors are on the right side of the card.
