Description
The DS3800NGMA is a printed circuit board from GE designed as part of their Mark IV/Speedtronic line. The Mark IV, which was designed for gas/steam turbine control, can automate procedures including shutdown and cool down for more consistent management. It can also help keep the turbine system running within safe parameters.
The DS3800NGMA functions as a general purpose multiply card. It has the following specifications:
- It is factory-drilled at all corners.
- It has extractor clips installed in both right-hand corners. Extractor clips help with the insertion and extraction of the PCB by giving the technician a handle to grasp, saving delicate circuitry. The extractor can also be used to leverage out the PCB.
- It has four nylon clips installed to support the optional auxiliary board DS3800DGPA. Twenty-eight metal pins are installed to hold the auxiliary in place if it is installed.
- It has one amber LED; this is labeled “Imok.”
- It has 13 test points.
- It has one transistor.
- It has one 28-pin Augat connector (female.)
- It has four rotary potentiometers.
- It has four jumper switches.
- It has one PCB reinforcement bar. This is placed along the top edge of the board.
- It is alignment marked, and marked ‘6BA03’ and ‘NGMA 6DA02.’
- It has five integrated circuits
- It has one connector (located along the left edge) to communicate with other PCBs. This is a 218A4553-1 A/mp 102041-1 connector.
The board is populated with various resistors (carbon composite and metal film,) diodes and capacitors. All components are labeled.
