The DS3800NGRA1F1B is a PCB from GE created as a component for their Mark IV system. Designed for gas and steam turbine control, the Mark IV can automate some procedures (startup/cooldown/shutdown) for more efficient management of the system. It is also effective in the monitoring of air, fuel and water emissions.
The DS3800NGRA1F1B works as a regulator card. It is built around twenty-five circuits, including three rigid envelope terminals. The board also uses precision amplifiers, voltage comparators, hex inverters, analog switches, and dual retriggerable one-shots. The last mentioned has clear and complementary outputs and is capable of generating output pulses from a few nanoseconds to very long durations up to 100% of duty cycle. The clear (CLR) input terminates the output pulse at a pre-set time that is not connected to the timing components.
The DS3800NGRA1F1B can communicate with other PCBs via four right-angled mating connectors. These are located on the left and right edges of the board. All are marked 218A4637. Two are P6 connectors and two are P4 connectors. Each edge has one of each kind of connector.
The DS3800NGRA1F1B is built with ceramic metal film resistors of differing values. Capacitors may be fixed vacuum capacitors, ceramic capacitors or made of polyester film. The polyester film capacitors include capacitors rated at 200V, 100V, and 80V.
