The DS3800NGTA1E1D is a PCB manufactured by GE to fit into their Mark IV (Speedtronic) series. The Mark IV, which was created for gas and steam turbine control, relies on integrated chipsets built with intentional redundancies to minimize downtown. The Mark IV can automate some processes, including startup and shutdown, for more consistent management of the turbine system.
Alignment marking has been added to one edge of the DS3800NGTA1E1D. The codes ‘6DA03’ and ‘6BA04’ have been placed on the opposite edge. The board is drilled for mounting. Four nylon pins are inserted in the right quadrant of the board. These support an optional auxiliary board. Near these pins is one of the two communications connectors on the board. This is a multi-pin male vertical connector. The other connector is a female connector located on the left edge. The latter connector is marked 218A4553-1Amp.
The DS3800NGTA1E1D has an extractor clip installed in each right corner. These clips are designed to aid technicians with the installation and extraction of boards from tight locations. They can be used as handles as needed, which protects the delicate circuitry. They also can lever against case edges and push the board out of place.
The DS3800NGTA1E1D has three trim potentiometers and three resistor network arrays. The network arrays may be used for voltage division. It has five TP test points and four LEDs. The board has one toggle switch. The board is built with twenty-five integrated circuits, and various capacitors, resistors (mostly ceramic-covered metal film) and diodes.
