IC687BEM731-AB WME bus controller
The IC687BEM731 controller is a WME bus controller that has been designed and manufactured by GE
Fanuc Automation and included in the RX7i PACsystem series. This bus controller is meant to be used
with different equipment from this series, and it also supports system redundancy. This redundancy means
that critical information is stored in a device that is connected to the whole system. A constant backup of the
relevant information to the process is made in this second device and it can be used whenever necessary
as the main device. The GE Fanuc Automation IC687BEM731 WME bus controller does not include
discrete points, programmer effective data rate measurements, or effective data rate measurements This
controller occupies a single slot. The operating temperature range allowed for this controller goes from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius.

The GE Fanuc Automation IC687BEM731 WME bus controller includes one handheld monitor port
which works as a built-in serial port and it operates with a current rating of 1.3 Amps. This bus controller
does not provide isolation. The GE Fanuc Automation IC687BEM731 WME bus controller can be installed
in any industrial location and several connections are supported by this module including daisy-chain
connections, shielded twisted pair cable connections, and other cable connections. This module provides
interfaces to up to 31 devices and each one of them needs to be installed separately. The main purpose
of a bus controller is to monitor the voltage and temperature of different devices, especially those
that have been configured specifically to be monitored by it.
