IC695PSD040F Power module

The IC695PSD040 is a power module designed for use on Emerson Automation’s PACSystem RX3i family, previously available on GE Intelligent Platforms (GE IP). The input voltage requirements for this module are 18-30 VDC when the module is started and 12-30 VDC when the module is running. Its maximum power input is designed to be 60 watts at full load. The rack power supply provides a 5.1VDC output voltage with a maximum power output of 30 watts and a 3.3VDC output voltage with a maximum power output of 30 watts, while the module’s maximum power output does not exceed 40 watts. In addition, the output current of the supply is 0-6 amps at 5.1 volts DC and 0-9 amps at 3.3 volts DC. The IC695PSD040 also has a 24 VDC output that users can utilize to power circuits on the relay output module.

The rack power supply is installed in slot 0 of the universal baseplate. Only one instance of the module is required per backplane, however, the module is not compatible for use with redundant power components or increased capacity modes. Thus, if rack power requirements exceed the output capacity of the IC695PSD040, the RX3i module must be installed on a separate backplane to manage the power load. The PSU also supports Daisy chain connections where up to two (2) IC695PSD040s can be connected, however, this does not increase the output capacity of the unit.

The IC695PSD040 has a traverse time of 10 ms, which refers to the power supply’s ability to maintain an acceptable output level when the input power fluctuates to below the lowest level or is lost completely.

The IC695PSD040 is a power module, manufactured by GE Fanuc Automation, included in the RX3i PACSystem. The power module is used to power the backplane. It also has a specific output voltage of 3.3 volts DC, which is used between the RX3i modules connected to this circuit.
