The IS200BPVDG1BR1 model is not a board but rather a thirteen-slot VME rack. There are a variety of different boards that can be connected to this rack such as the IS200CSLAH1APR1, IS200EDISG1AAA, and IS200EPBPG1AAC. The aforementioned boards will only be inserted into one slot compared to the main processor card which will take up two slots. The inputs required to properly operate models within the Mark VI System will be sent through the inserted boards. Some of the inputs or potential outputs used with this rack and its inserted boards are vibration/proximitor inputs, optical pyrometer inputs, trip systems, and many more.

The Operator Interface that is used with the IS200BPVDG1BR1 rack is the HMI which is also known as the Human Machine Interface. The HMI is a Microsoft Windows NT PC operating system that Cimplicity graphics display system, the software interface for the Mark VI, and other control systems on the network, a control system toolbox used for maintenance, and an operating system to support server/client capabilities. The main communication card used with this rack is the UDH or the Unit Data Highway, the UDH allows for the boards in the rack to communicate with other General Electric series such as Static Starters, EX2000 Generator Excitation Controls, HMIs, Historians, and more.

There are no light-emitting diode components or any type of indicators at all. All of the indicators would be through the Control Module or through the chosen redundancy type. The Mark VI system for which this rack was designed is fully programmable.
