Replacement Procedure

1. Start by removing the four screws that secure the keypad assembly to the faceplate. These screws are typically located at the corners of the assembly. Use an appropriate screwdriver or tool to carefully unscrew and remove them.
2. Once the screws are removed, gently detach the keypad assembly from the unit. Take caution to avoid damaging any components or cables during this process. Pay particular attention to the communications cable, which is typically connected to the upper left-hand corner of the unit. Carefully disconnect the communications cable from the unit, ensuring a smooth and clean separation.
3. Additionally, remove the grounding strap attached to the keypad assembly. This strap helps to ensure proper grounding and electrical safety. Set aside the keypad assembly in a safe place.
4. Unplug all of the harnesses connected. These harnesses are typically connected to various terminals or connectors on the board. Take care to remove them gently, ensuring that no pins or connectors are damaged in the process.
5. Once all the harnesses are disconnected, carefully take out the ERRR board from its mounting bracket. The board may be secured using three nylon standoffs and one metallic standoff with a nut. Remove these fasteners using the appropriate tools and carefully lift the ERRR board out of the mounting bracket.
6. Replace the board with the new or replacement board. Ensure that it aligns properly with the mounting bracket and that the connectors are oriented correctly for easy reconnection of the harnesses.
7. To reassemble the unit, reverse the steps mentioned earlier. Start by placing the keypad assembly back onto the unit, making sure it aligns correctly with the faceplate. Reconnect the communications cable and grounding strap to their respective locations.
8. Plug in all the harnesses to the appropriate connectors, ensuring a secure and proper connection for each. Take care to match the correct terminals and connectors to their corresponding harnesses.
9. Finally, secure the board in place by reattaching the nylon standoffs and metallic standoff with the nut. Make sure they are tightened appropriately to hold the board securely in the mounting bracket.
