The IS230SRTDH2A is a component manufactured by GE as part of the Mark VI and/or Mark VIe turbine

management System. These platforms are designed by GE to manage steam or gas turbines, run the bala

nce of plant equipment, or for other applications. Mark VI is built around a central control module that mana

ges most of the monitoring, control, and protection needs of the system. Mark VIe is a DCS(Distributed Con

trol System) that distributes these responsibilities across autonomous controllers throughout the system, whi

ch then remain under central supervisory control.

The IS230SRTDH2A is an I/O terminal board module with din rail mounting. The board houses various cap

acitors, resistors, and diodes, as well as integrated circuits for identifying the board as other components. It

also has multiple MOVs(metal oxide varistors) to protect the board from overvoltage conditions.

The largest element on the surface of the IS230SRTDH2A is the two terminal blocks. These are located side

by side on the edge of a board. Each component is attached to the circuit board by two screws. The input to t

hese terminals usually uses the #18 AWG wire. The board also has three vertical 37-pin connectors located

on the other side of the board. These connectors are used for plug-in packages or connecting cables.

The IS230SRTDH2A is fitted to the metal frame by screws. This frame surrounds three sides of the board and extends to the fourth side. The frame allows the board to be mounted on a din rail.
