IS420ESWBH2A GE Ethernet switch

The IS420ESWBH2A device is an unmanaged IONet/Industrial Ethernet switch designed by General Electric to be used in either Mark VIeS or Mark VIe Safety Control Systems. A key defining feature of the differences between the five ESWB switches is the number of fiber ports on the switch; this switch has two 100Base-FX multi-mode fiber ports, no matter what type of mode the fiber port has an LC-type connection. A special feature regarding the RJ45 connectors is that they have the ability to handle high amounts of stress and should be able to be used with up to two hundred insertion/removal cycles.

There are multiple streams that will come into the switch and has enough space to buffer one packet per port, please note that multiple streams typically only allow buffering for one incoming stream and has to save the remaining streams for later transmission.

Since high reliability is needed when using the IS420ESWBH2A switch there are several performance criteria that should be considered during operation, switch architecture, inrush current, and switch latency.
