Description

This piece of industrial technology is a part of the Multilin MM 2 series, from General Electric. The Motor Manager 2 series from GE Multilin was built to provide efficient reports, relaying, as well as protecting the equipment it’s reporting on at a reduced price compared to other devices. As intelligent MCC Controllers, these models are outfitted to be the most efficient devices of their class, combining controlling functions and motor protection functions in one compact unit, reducing the need for auxiliary metering and control equipment.

The MMII-PD-1-2-MOD616-120 model is built to handle issues such as overload and phase imbalances. Should a motor contactor fail, a rotor become out of place or locked/stalled, then this module is capable of overriding these conditions and ensuring that they resolve themselves. The unit can also trigger alarms that alert operators to the problem.

This model is outfitted with a series of integrated hardware that allows more efficient and expanded range of action and monitoring. Contained in this unit is a winding thermistor circuit and an undervoltage automatic restart module. The winding thermistor input alters the electric input should a significant change in temperature occur, while the undervoltage automatic restart module restarts unit processes to achieve the appropriate nominal power intake.

The MMII-PD-1-2-MOD616-120 is externally integrated with up to 20 I/O ports: 4 outputs and 16 outputs. The output ports are composed of a pair of contactor outputs and a pair of programmable outputs. The inputs are made of 6 fixed input ports and up to 10 programmable inputs.
