Technical requirement
WES5123-2600 is a PCB for the MARK V control panel. It is also identified as the ARCNET Connector (AAHA). As the name suggests, the board is intended to be used as a connector to connect the main control engine and external drivers to ARCNET. The control engine actually resides in the <R> core. The <R> kernel actually requires two AAHA boards. One of the boards required for the core is the board that connects COREBUS to the <R> core. When you do this, you allow the control engine to communicate with the I/O kernel, which is also contained within the <R> kernel. The board can also be connected to the PANA board. The second board grants Stage Link connections to the user interface and <R> core.
WES5123-2600 is a very small and simple circuit board. It has three communication ports on the top. The leftmost port is not actually used, but is an EBNC port. Next to it are the ARCBNC-A and ARCBNC-B ports. The bottom right corner of the top plane is a 2PL connection port. In the middle is an APL 10-pin connection port, and in the lower left corner is an unused EPL connection.
