National Instruments’ PCI-6601 is a timing and digital I/O module for PCI. The PCI-6601 can perform a variety of buffer measurements or other counter/timer tasks, including: event counting; period measurement; position or quadrature encoder measurement; frequency measurement; pulse width measurement; pulse generation; and pulse training generation. The PCI-6601 board has four 32-bit counter channels and up to 32 individually configurable TTL/CMOS compatible digital I/O lines, and a high-speed transfer based on DMA can be performed on the PCI-6601.
