PCI-7324 Four-axis closed-loop controller

ValueMotion Servo and Stepper Boards are servo/stepper motor controllers for ISA, PCI and PXI bus computers. These boards provide fully programmable motion control for up to four independent motor axes and provide additional I/O for limit and reset switches and other general purpose functions. You can use these boards in position or velocity control applications, supporting point-to-point position, velocity analysis, and event-based motion analysis modes.

Using a servo board, you can control a servo motor and run it in closed loop mode all the time. These boards use quadrature encoders for position and velocity feedback and a 10 V analog output for command output. The closed-loop stepper board controls the stepper motors and can operate in open-loop or closed-loop mode. They use quadrature encoders for position and velocity feedback, and either step/direction or clockwise (CW)/counterclockwise (CCW) digital outputs for command. The open loop stepper board does not include a quadrature encoder and will only work in open loop mode. All stepping boards support full stepping, half stepping and microstepping applications.
