The PCI-7342/7344 provides hybrid motion profile control and fully coordinated circular, linear, point-to-point, gear and vector space control in embedded motion operation or a host-centric programming environment.

The National Instruments PCI-7342/7344 also provides contouring for complex movements. The onboard CPU uses an embedded real-time operating system with event-driven multi-task control. With this approach, several motion control programs and processes can run simultaneously on the controller, independent of the host computer, with no external interaction unless the host program or user configuration initiates it.
