TPMC917 is the standard single-width 32-bit PMC module providing 4MByte of SRAM and spare battery with one onboard lithium battery and four ESD protected RS232 channels (TPMC917-10R only). The 4MByte NV-SRAM is organized in two banks, each offering 512K x 32-bit memory. During normal operation (standard 5V power applied to SRAM) monitor the capacity of the lithium battery every 24 hours a battery monitor device and an interruption can be generated when the battery voltage is too low.
Monitor device Switch the device’s power SRAM from standard 5V to battery if the 5V power supply is below the battery monitor device threshold level. At this point any active access to the SRAM is performed correctly within 1.5µs. After that, any further visits are impossible.
A miniature dip switch allows the choice of battery backup power to be either an on-board lithium battery or an external battery via a P14 I/O connector.
TPMC917-10R provides four RS232 channels. Each channel has a programmable baud rate of up to 115.2k baud. The 4-channel UART provides a 64-byte FIFO transfer and a 64-byte receive FIFO for each channel significantly reducing the overhead required to provide and get data from the transmitter and receiver. The FIFO trigger level is programmable. The channel is ESD according to the body protection voltage up to +/-15kV models and IEC1000-4-2.
