61C22A

The 61C22 is specifically a Rail-Mounted Digital Local Head that was created for a Rail I/O system on an AutoMax DCS. This device, when used within the Rail-Mounted I/O system, is allowed to be customized to meet the system requirements. Four different digital I/Os have the ability to talk to a single I/O port on the device. The number of digital I/O that can be connected to a remote I/O head can then be increased from 64 to 256. This module also comes preloaded with its own power supply that has the ability to provide power to four total rails of digital I/O modules.

The 61C22 has a lot of components on its faceplate. It has a 250VAC MDQ 4-amp replaceable fuse compartment. It has a bank of LED indicators that are labeled POWER, COM, RAIL FAULT 0, RAIL FAULT 1, RAIL FAULT 2, and RAIL FAULT 3. There are five 12-POINT male ports that are labeled RAIL 0, RAIL 1, RAIL 2, RAIL 3, and INPUT. Four of these ports are I/O communication ports and the last one is a remote head communication port.

The back of the 61C22 has a mounting bracket that can be used to put the module on a rack assembly. The top and sides of this module have factory drilled holes on them. These holes are vital to the module because they allow air to flow into the inner circuitry of the module.
