The OC950-504-01 is fully digitally controlled with a DSP-based controlled current loop. The part’s software presets all application and system parameters. The unit also features an auto-tuning feature that is done digitally, which will allow for predictable and easy setup. The part also features a digital (DRDC) converter that interfaces to an advanced patented digital resolver with standard 5.3, with minute-level absolute accuracy and 24-bit position resolution. (This patent is noted in US Patent No. 5,162,798.) The device also features advanced sinusoidal current control using the signature series. This helps reduce torque ripple and helps provide uniform control dynamics no matter what speed the shaft is running.
The OC950-504-01 is modular and has an option for removable tabs, so configuration is easy. It features an RS-232/485 serial interface with programmable positions for single axis and a SERCOS fiber optic interface for multiple axes with movable individual parameters.
