The ILX56-PBS PROFIBUS DPV1 Multi-Slave Module allows Rockwell Automation® ControlLogix® Processors to communicate on a PROFIBUS DP protocol network by simulating up to 10 independent slave devices. This multi-slave support of the module provides the ability to transfer up to 2440 bytes of input and output data as high-speed cyclic I/O data on the PROFIBUS DP network. Combined with multiple I/O connections back to the ControlLogix processor, the module provides a data update rate that satisfies even the most demanding PROFIBUS DP applications. Additionally, by using the PLX50 configuration utility, you gain access to advanced features such as custom add-on routines and a PROFIBUS DP packet capture utility to minimize the time and effort required to get the ControlLogix PAC up and running on a PROFIBUS DP network .
