The PLX31-PND-MBS4 PROFINET device to Modbus serial gateway provides bi-directional data transfer between PROFINET controllers and Modbus serial (RTU and ASCII) devices. Each Modbus serial port can be configured as a Modbus master or slave. The PROFINET interface operates as a PROFINET device (slave).
The PLX31-PND-MBS4 Gateway is a self-contained DIN rail mount unit that provides Ethernet connectivity for network communication, remote configuration and diagnostics. An onboard SD card slot (SD card optional) is used to store configuration files that can be used for restoration, transfer of configuration to another gateway, or general configuration backup.
