The 0-57401- digital I/O drive is a thin, rectangular device. On the drive’s faceplate, there are many multiple I/O ports for the operator to use. At the top of the faceplate, you will see a total of twelve small male I/O ports. These smaller ports are labeled on the left side with the letters A through I, although not all of these ports are labeled. On the right side of these smaller ports, you will find many other labels which indicate the purposes of these ports, and not all of them are labeled either. These include the following: “IET,” “AUX 1,” “AUX 2,” “M STATUS,” “RUN,” “RUN PERM,” “DFR,” “FMCR,” “RMCR,” and “MCR.”

The 0-57401- unit is a digital I/O driver created and produced by Reliance Electric, compatible with the AutoMax family of programmable controllers and related products. Underneath these small ports, there are more than 20 I/O ports in total, which are larger than the ports above. These ports are marked with the letters A through G, with the letters repeated twice (A1, A2, etc.). Instead of just 1 and 2, the letters H and I have the numbers 1 to 3 next to them.
