Description
This device is one of the several units available from the Woodward Inc. series of control units. These units were designed as a series of digital control modules. They are built to be capable of being configured in the field, configured to control specific applications and be able to change that in the future. These units are flexible, built primarily for steam turbine control, but able to control utility turbogenerators and turboexpander models.

This control offers operators a choice between two magnetic pickups (MPUs) or two proximity switches, depending on the needs of the specific application. MPUs offer a measuring frequency of 400—15 000 Hz, while proximity switches are 30—15 000 Hz.
