9905-750 is a power trip overspeed protection device. The model is part of the Woodward ProTech 203 series, which uses a microprocessor in three identical speed sensing units to monitor overspeed conditions. Models 9905-750 are 220 Vac versions. Each unit in the system has its own power supply that produces +5 V and +24 V voltages, isolated from the input voltage.
The actual unit speed is displayed on the front panel, which has three; One for each speed sensing unit. Each unit is programmed through these panels, which can only be done with keylock access to prevent unauthorized programming or testing. This is also where you can adjust the frequency of the overspeed test using a potentiometer. All three units are in the same locked NEMA 4X certification chassis.
