Product 9905-755 is part of the ProTech 203 Overspeed Protection System series. The series of devices is modular in design, using three identical speed sensing units and a three-for-two voting configuration. This model has a 120 Vac/dc voltage input and is one of the power-on trip models in the Woodward family.
To prevent system damage and failure/failure, care should be taken to ensure that the 9905-755 overspeed protection is installed in the appropriate location. Woodward Manual 85196 contains a complete list of environmental considerations, including operating temperature ranges from -25 to +60°C(-13 to +140°F), protection from direct sunlight, water and condensation, and protection from vibration and equipment that may produce electromagnetic interference.
The 9905-755 has a speed sensing frequency range of 100 Hz to 32 kHz and a trigger frequency range of 250 Hz to 25 kHz. System features include MPU fault options, MPU fault timer, MPU fault indicator, and CPU fault indicator. Some errors are indicated with LED, some with alarm output, and some can optionally trigger both LED and alarm output.
8237-1247 monitors turbine rotor speed and acceleration through active or passive microprocessors and issues closing commands to the turbine’s gate jump valve or corresponding trip system.
Woodward’s 8237-1367 is designed to be used as an overspeed device for steam, gas, water turbines, reciprocating engines, or plant process equipment of any size.
8237-1368 Woodward ProTech-GII Overdrive protection’s 8237-1368 uses discrete inputs (3 / module, 9 in total): alarm/trip reset command, start command, and speed failure override command
8237-1369 provides a variety of predefined test programs, including automated periodic test programs, to help users verify system operation.
8237-1370 ProTech-GII 8237-1370 Panel mount includes overspeed and overacceleration features, as well as time-stamped alarms and trip logs.
8237-1594 uses a three-mode redundant structure and three-take two voting logic to accurately determine unsafe conditions and single points of failure.
8237-1595 Allows for detection, notification of failures in overdrive system components, and for repair or replacement while the monitoring system continues to operate online.
Woodward’s ProTech-GII 8237-1596 consists of three separate modules with a trip output of either a separate output or a three-for-two configuration.
The ProTech-GII dividers installed on 8237-1597 are designed for overdrive in steam, gas, water turbines, reciprocating engines, or plant process equipment of any size.
