Woodward 723 Digital Control Model 9906-131 is programmed and adjusted using a menu-based, external handheld programmer (or other ASCII character computer terminal with an RS-422 serial port) that connects to one of the unit’s serial ports. The LONTalk protocol is another digital communication option, typically used with modules such as RTD, thermocouple, and analog and discrete I/Os.Configured set points are saved in the control’s permanent memory, avoiding reliance on an external power source to retain data. This Woodward 723 control also monitors processor, memories, and baseline power supply through integrated self-diagnostics.
Configurable features and 723 accessories provide options for expanding the monitoring and control functions of the 9906-131, including engine monitoring. Along with optional LONTalk-compatible Woodward products, this 723 control can also interface with a Modbus master device, such as a human-machine interface (HMI), supports the use of LinkNet nodes, and can be connected to a Digital Synchronizer and Load Control (DSLC).
