The device number is 9907-162. The unit is able to drive the turbine by using one or two staged actuators to drive the inlet steam valve. The 9907-162 is one of Woodward’s 505 modules designed for extraction and/or admission applications running steam turbines.
9907-164
The 9907-162 model, as well as the rest of these series, are designed to be field programmable by field operators. This is achieved through the fully integrated operator control panel located on the front of the unit. It is an informational text display with two lines of 24 characters each available.
Model 9907-162 also includes an optional NEMA 4X protective case. While it does keep the internal printed circuitry safe from invasive materials, connecting the protective frame limits the amount of heat the model can safely run on. The unit is also designed to be the first alarm indicator that the system is down, reducing the time spent troubleshooting.
