Description
Product details:
INNIS01 Network interface Slave module (NIS) is a part of the network interface to the computer. It provides an
intelligent link between a node and an Inf-Net loop. An NIS module and a network interface connected to the computer
transport module connect a LAN to the computer interface. An NIS mod-ule, a network interface for connecting to a
computer transport module, and an IMMPI01 multifunctional processor interface module make an interface for connecting a LAN to a computer.
This note explains the fea- characteristics, specifications, and operation of INFI-NET’s interface with computers.
It also includes installa- operations and troubleshooting procedures for each module
INICT01 Internet to Computer Transfer Module (ICT) pro provides the electronic device Internet to computer interface
required to guide operations. It handles all com- communication via RS-232-C serial communication with the upper
computer communication port (one or two) and direct communication with the NIS module through the I/O expander bus.
The ICT module consists of two printed circuit boards. One loop – the circuit board is the memory board, while the other
is the central processing unit. These boards contain serial communication ICT modules with computer circuits required for
communication. The ICT module occupies two installation unit slots adjacent to the NIS module.
The INNIS01 module is a co-working I/O module that connects to other INFI-NET communication modules. This allows a
node to communicate with any other node on the Inf-Net loop. The NIS module is a slot in a separate PCB module mounting
unit. The board contains microprocessor-based communication circuits that enable it to communicate with other INFI-NET
interface modules. All Internet to computer interfaces require a specific one or more communication modules and NIS modules.
Two locking screws on the panel secure the INNIS01 module to the module mounting unit. There are 16 leds on the panel – signs
that display error codes and event/error counts. The INNIS01 module has three card edge connectors for external signals, nal
and power(connect P1, P2 and P3). Connector P1 Connector – Connects to public ground and +5 VDC power supplies. Connector
P2 connects NIS modules to the I/O expander bus for communication -cate has a control module inside its node. Serial communication
to other nodes is via connector P3 using a cable connected to the terminal unit or terminal module. Communication nodes are
connected by coaxial or biaxial cables connecting terminal units or modules on each node.
