The IC695CPU320 is an Agfanuc/Emerson Automation controller module. The module belongs to the PACSystems RX3i controller platform. The controller can be used for effective control of industrial machines and processes. It enables high-speed data transfer through peripheral Component interconnection (PCI) slots and supports serial backplanes for migration of series 90-30 I/O systems.
The IC695CPU320 has two built-in communication ports that support RS232 and RS485 communication standards. These communication ports use the 90 Series protocol (SNP) to communicate from mode with programming workstations, human machine interface (HMI), and monitoring and data acquisition (SCADA) systems. The controller can be installed in the universal midplane of slot Rx3i 12 whose directory number is IC695CHS012 or in the universal midplane of slot Rx3i 16 whose directory number is IC695CHS016.
The IC695CPU320 has a Celeron M processor with a processing speed of 1GHz. It contains 65 megabytes of user memory, the contents of which are stored by the lithium Intelligent battery series 90-30 auxiliary battery modules with catalog numbers IC695ACC302 and IC693ACC302 respectively. In addition, it has 64 megabytes of non-volatile flash user memory. In addition, these user stores support the reallocation of custom sizes of data and program stores. It supports up to 512 blocks, with a maximum size of 128 KB for a single block.
IC695CPU320 supports most of the 90-30 series PLC I/O modules. This feature provides flexibility and is especially useful and beneficial when upgrading the traditional 90-30 series to a modern PACSystems RX3i controller platform. This allows for a phased migration in which the controllers and logic of the existing 90-30 PLCS are migrated first, followed by the I/O modules. PACSystem RX3i supports firmware modification
The GE Fanuc IC695CPU320 module is capable of executing 1000 Boolean instructions in 0.047 milliseconds. The module supports 512 blocks. The maximum block size is 128 kilobytes. The module provides two embedded communication ports, namely RS-485 and RS-232 ports. Supported serial protocols include SNP, Serial I/O, and Modbus RTU slave protocols.
The IC695CPU320 module communicates with the programmer and human-machine interface through the serial port using the SNP slave protocol. The module communicates with the Smart Options module and I/O via a dual backplane bus. Environmental specifications include an operating temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius. The IC695CPU320 module supports the serial backplane bus and RX3i backplane bus, and obtains 1 ampere current from the backplane at 3.3 volts DC and 1.2 amperes current from the backplane at 5 volts DC. There are six led indicators on the front panel for module status updates.
